Concept Of Management

Management is what managers do. It is stated that management is "getting things done through other people". Management is a distinct process consisting of activities of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, performed to determine and accomplish stated objectives with the use of human beings and other resources. The six M's of management are subjected to the fundamental functions of management-planning; organizing, actuating, and controlling-to achieve stated objectives. Management is an activity the converts disorganized human and physical resources into useful and effective results. Management is the most challenging, comprehensive, demanding, crucial and subtle of all human activties.management makes human efforts more productive. It brings better equipment, plants, offices, products, services and human relations to our society. Improvements and progress are its constant watchwords. Management brings order to endeavors by combining isolated events and disjointed information into meaningful relationships. These relationships then work to solve problems and accomplish goals. There is no substitute to good management.” Good management is merely that exercise of common sense and the golden rule."
